Attend a FREE Workshop and Learn How to Control their Spread

Oakland Phragmite and Invasive Species Task Force (OPIS) will be holding a hands-on workshop at Marsh View Park in Oakland Township on Saturday, August 3, 2013 from 9 - 11 am. In this session, experts from OPIS will teach you the best techniques to cut and apply herbicide to this invasive reed. Anyone can attend this free educational event. Bring gloves and pruning shears. NOHLC will offer a Starter Kit To Control Invasive Plants and asks for a $9 donation to cover the costs of the kit. Marsh View Park is located on the corner of E. Clarkston and Adams Roads. Entrance to the park is on Clarkston Road, just west of Adams.

For more information, or reserve a starter kit, contact Sharon Mckay at 248-693-2382.
