Man in Serious Condition After Motorcycle Rear-Ended in Orion Township
59-year-old Lake Orion man ejected from motorcycle, hospitalized.

A 59-year-old Lake Orion man was reported to be in serious condition late Wednesday after being ejected from his motorcycle in Orion Township, according to a report by the Oakland County Sheriff's Office.
According to the report, the Lake Orion man was seriously injured when a 52-year-old Clarkston man in a 2012 GMC Sierra pickup rear-ended his 2011 Harley Davidson motorcycle Wednesday afternoon on northbound Baldwin north of Waldon in Orion Township.
The accident occurred at about 12:35 p.m., the report indicated, when the motorcyclist was stopped on the roadway attempting to turn into a private driveway at the 2700 block of Baldwin when the truck struck the back of his motorcycle.

The motorcyclist was taken to McLaren-Oakland Hospital, the report indicated, while the driver of the truck was not injured.
According to the report, the motorcyclist was not wearing a helmet at the time of the crash and alcohol is not believed to have been a factor in the accident.
