Meatless Monday: AllNaturalSavings.com

It's the first Meatless Monday, so I wanted to start off by introducing you to a website  I think vegetarians, vegans and people who are looking to eat more naturally will love.

AllNaturalSavings.com gives you natural and organic coupons, deals and unadvertised specials at stores all over Michigan, like Meijer, Kroger, Whole Foods, Target and Trader Joe's.

Bethany Spohr, of Wixom, conceived and created the website herself after suffering from her own illness. Eating more naturally has helped her healing. She updates the site multiple times each day.

You'll find manufacturer's coupons, freebies, health magazine discounts, and weekly specials. She also has a page for each food store, so if you're looking for coupons that only apply to Kroger, she's got you covered!

Some coupons are digital, but many require that you have a printer. You don't usually need coupons for weekly specials, though, because the discount is already applied.

I first met Bethany when I interned at WXYZ. We were profiling her in the "Mom's  A Genius" segment. I had the privilege to follow her around at Kroger and then interview her at her home. Her bill before coupons/discounts/specials was $75, but her total came out to just $25. Needless to say, I was hooked on her website after that! You can watch JoAnne Purtan's story about Bethany here

One of the easiest ways to keep up with all the deal is to follow @AllNaturalSavin. I hardly ever go to the grocery store without coupons anymore. There are hundreds of coupons out there every week that go unused, but they really save you money.  All you need are a few minutes to plan your shopping each week!

My friends and family make fun of me for all the coupons I use, but I love looking at my receipt after I go grocery shopping to see how much money I saved. I have an envelope of coupons that I try to keep in my car so that if I pass a grocery store, I know I have some to use. A lot of the coupons on the website often have expiration dates well into the future, so it's nice to keep a stash of those ready to go!
