
A black, 2005 Harley Davidson motorcycle was reported stolen Nov. 9 from outside an apartment building on Poplar in Orion Township. The motorcycle, which belonged to a 51-year-old resident of one of the apartments, was last seen at 3 a.m. by a neighbor. It was discovered missing at 8:30 a.m. The registration and proof of insurance were with the motorcycle, which carried the license plate M812D. There are no suspects.
LOHS student escapes arrest
An 18-year-old student at Lake Orion High School was arrested Nov. 7 at school on a felony probation violation, but he escaped. A tracking dog was brought in to try to pick up the trail but was unsuccessful.
Woman caught with stolen groceries
An Orion Township woman was arrested after leaving the Lapeer Road Kroger store with $367 worth of groceries she hadn’t paid for. A store employee watched as the woman pushed a cart through the store, putting groceries into reusable shopping bags, entering and exiting via the produce-department doors. She was taken to the Oakland County Sheriff’s Orion Township substation, fingerprinted and released with an appearance ticket.
