Oakland Township Board of Trustees Special Meeting

Will be held Monday, July 14th at 7 p.m. at the Township Hall to discuss the Park's plans to lock up 38 acres of our Park property for 10 years in a legal contract with the U.S. Fish & Wildlife Services.  This will cost the residents of Oakland Township a mere $16,000 dollars, plus grass cutting, maintenance, etc. for that period.  Even though no changes to our property could occur for 10 years, this sounds like a good deal, because our federal tax dollars would also be used for this project - only another $16,000.

$32K for grass seems very reasonable.  This program would plant grass on 38 acres of our park lands, and the Park staff is unable to do that at this time.
