Oakland Township's character in jeopardy
Township Supervisor has scheduled a special meeting to appoint two new planning commission members without any Planning or Zoning experience
PLEASE ATTEND A VERY IMPORTANT MEETING THAT HAS BEEN SCHEDULED BY SUPERVISOR GONSER FOR MONDAY, AUGUST 31 AT 7:00 PM. THE MEETING IS AT THE TOWNSHIP HALL. THE PURPOSE IS TO APPOINT TWO NEW MEMBERS TO THE PLANNING COMMISSION THAT WILL HELP DEFINE OAKLAND TOWNSHIP’S FUTURE.
The Supervisor is nominating two individuals with no Planning or Zoning experience. He, and the Board, have already replaced all of the other experienced Planning Commission members since coming into office in 2012. We will now develop our Township’s Master Plan with the most senior member of the Commission having only 2 years of experience, a new Planning Consultant, and a new Planning Coordinator.
