On the Agenda: Blossom Ridge Rezoning Request
After choosing not to vote on the issue last month, the Planning Commission will consider the rezoning request tonight.
The Oakland Township Planning Commission meeting is set for 7 tonight at Township Hall. Two items are on the agenda including a and Goodison update.
is appearing for the second time in front of the Planning Commission, requesting that the northwest corner of Dutton Road and Adams Road be rezoned. By doing so, Blossom Ridge, a continuing care senior residential community, could be constructed on a 42-acre lot. The senior residential center would hold room for 284 independent and assisted-living residents for senior citizens.
The property is currently zoned for medium residential density, leaving room to accommodate only 61 residences, according to Moceri’s proposal. To allow for the proposed capacity and residences to be built, the property would need to be rezoned to multiple family residential density with planned residential rezoning overlay.
