On the Agenda: Trustees to Discuss Budgets, Property Acquisition Tonight

The Oakland Township Board of Trustees has a lot on its plate when it meets at 7 p.m. Tuesday at .

The board is set to discuss a variety of topics including budget amendments, property acquisition and a request for a Memorial Day parade. Here are the highlights of the agenda for Tuesday's meeting:

  • The Board of Trustees will look at recommending budget amendments for the 2011-12 budget portion ending March 31, 2012. 
  • A budget hearing for the fiscal year 2012-13 will take place with public comment endorsed. A budget is scheduled to be adopted at the March 13 meeting.
  • The Board of Trustees will consider a Memorial Day parade request.
  • A proposal for acquiring 16 acres of property will be considered at the meeting. The property at Lake George and Stoney Creek is owned by Oakland Explorations. 
  • Development for Kingsridge II, a subdividision, is in its final phase, and final plat approval will be considered.
