During the weekend of August 3 & 4, 2013, Oxford paid tribute to its most famous resident, Brace Beemer, who voiced The Lone Ranger on radio from 1941-54. There was a parade on Saturday, a car show, vendors and an ongoing exhibit of Lone Ranger memorabilia at the North Oakland Historical Museum.
