The Charter Township of Oakland is requesting proposals for Cranberry Lake Farm Hen House roof replacement. Cranberry Lake Farm is in the National Register of Historic Places. The Hen House roof dimensions are approximately 24 x 84 with a 2:12 pitch. The roof deck was replaced in 2004. Contractor must be licensed and insured.

BID DEADLINE:
Saturday, July 6, 2013 received via mail or email. Bid review Monday, July 8 AM.
OPTIONAL SITE VISIT:
Tuesday, July 2, 2013 at 2:00 pm at 388 West Predmore Road, Oakland, MI 48363.
THE PROPOSAL SHALL INCLUDE:
1. Detailed description of work. (Include any recommendations.)
2. The materials that will be used. Recommending the use of ONE of these two products:
Option A. Grace Tri-flex 30® provides a stable base for the application of mechanically attached roof coverings and serves as a secondary water shed, especially for low-pitch roofs. This is an underlayment. Additional black roll roof covering would be required.
OR
Option B. Flintastic® roofing membrane (black) to be used with Flintastic® base sheet.
3. Include removal of old roofing with removal from site.
4. Repair rotted wood face board at North West corner of building.
5. Install new commercial white drip edge 3” around entire perimeter of roof.
6. State the cost of the project. Bids can provide a cost for one option or both options.
7. State warranty for product and for work.
8. Supply Firm name, address, phone number, and contact person.
GENERAL CONDITIONS:
All proposals received by due date and time will be evaluated. The Charter Township of Oakland Historic District Commission reserves the right to reject any and all proposals, to make an award based directly on the proposals, or to negotiate further with one or more firms. The firm selected for the award will be chosen on the basis of the apparent greatest benefit to the township.
