
The Orion Township Public Library is hosting their annual Library-Wide Summer Reading Club Kickoff, on Saturday, June 10 from 11:00a-2:00p. Bring the whole family to register for the Summer Reading Club – Build a Better World! Enjoy outdoor fun with activities, food, a DJ, and creative projects. All family members can sign up that day or at orionlibrary.org/summer-reading.
“Our Summer Reading program sponsored by the Friends of the Orion Library is our biggest family program of the year,” said Karen Knox, Library Director. “It is so important to keep students reading throughout the summer, and we hope that our program makes it fun and engaging for everyone. Our kickoff event is a great celebration for all ages!”
In conjunction with the Summer Reading program, local businesses are offering discounts and freebies to customers who show their library card. Visit orionlibrary.org/partners to see a list of participating local businesses. If you do not have a library card, bring your ID and visit the library to get your FREE card.

Many local community businesses generously donated items to make this event possible – Buffalo Wild Wings, Jets Pizza (Baldwin Rd.), Jets Pizza (Lapeer Rd.), Dunkin’ Donuts/Baskin Robbins, FlipSpot Gymnastics, Subway (Baldwin Rd.), Brick It Up, Goodrich Oxford 7, and Green Light Graphics.
