The Lake Orion Village Council and the Downtown Development Authority have each moved their meetings this week due to the Veterans Day holiday Monday.
Village Council will meet Tuesday, Nov. 13. Council has scheduled a hearing to take public comment on moving future village elections to November of even-numbered years. Village elections are currently held in September on odd-numbered years. The change would allow the elections to be administered by Orion Township.
In the last village council election in September 2011, when four councilmembers were elected, only 168 ballots were cast.
