Want to Adopt-A-Stream? Training Session Planned for Monday in Lake Orion
Volunteers are needed to help collect data to protect our local waterways. A training is planned Monday in Lake Orion.

Adopt-A-Stream volunteers are needed to help protect our local waterways, and a training is happening Monday in Lake Orion.
Adopt-A-Stream volunteers are given equipment, data sheets and protocols, and sent out to gather information on streamside habitat and macroinvertebrate populations.
Twice a year, teams visit their adopted sites and collect data and bugs that live in the streambed and surrounding vegetation. The information is used by the Clinton River Watershed Council, municipalities and the State of Michigan.
