• Nonprofits look for donations, volunteers after Otsego tornado (woodtv.com) — Otsego residents are still cleaning up from Tuesday night’s EF1 tornado, and local nonprofits are urgently asking for volunteers and donations to support affected families. Allegan County Community Foundation and Heart of West Michigan United Way are coordinating help, especially for food pantries and damage assessment. Neighbors in Otsego, Plainwell and across the county are stepping up to assist.
   

• Michigan averages 15 tornadoes a year. We've already had 12 and it's only April (mlive.com) — Otsego and neighboring Plainwell were hit by two weak tornadoes this week, part of a surge that’s already brought Michigan 12 twisters this year. Damage included downed trees and property impacts, and experts say a warming climate may be shifting our tornado season earlier into spring.
   

• Four tornadoes now confirmed to have touched down in West Michigan (wwmt.com) — Meteorologists have now confirmed four tornadoes from this week’s storms in West Michigan, including an EF1 whose damage path began just north of Otsego and may have extended toward Barry County. Additional confirmed tornadoes hit Allegan, Branch and Montcalm counties. The National Weather Service is still compiling detailed track and damage information for our area.
