• Man arrested after placing backpack with ‘suspicious device' in Paw Paw dumpster (mlive.com) — Police in Paw Paw responded Friday morning to reports of a man placing a backpack with a suspicious device into a dumpster on East Joseph Street, prompting a bomb squad response and restricted access in the area. Authorities safely removed the device, arrested a 26-year-old Hartford-area man on unrelated charges, and say there is no ongoing danger to the public.
