Bond Set at $1M for Canton Bank Robbery Suspect
Damon Ross Davis Jr. allegedly held a teller a note demanding cash and a car.

CANTON, MI – A man who allegedly handed a Canton bank teller a note demanding cash and a car was ordered held on $1 million/10 percent bond Monday during his arraignment before 35th District Court Judge Michael Gerou on armed robbery charges.
The teller refused to give money to Damon Ross Davis Jr., 26, during the alleged robbery at 9:15 a.m. at at the Citizens Bank branch at Ford and Haggerty roads, and he fled on foot, The Canton Observer reports.

Davis was arrested Friday at a Canton residence after an investigation by the Canton Police Department, the Michigan State Police and the Western Wayne County Community Response Team.
“It was very good police work,” Canton Special Services Lt. Craig Wilsher told the newspaper.

Davis will next appear in court on Feb. 19 for a preliminary hearing.
