has announced via the company's Facebook page that the stores' going-out-of-business sale starts today. By Friday afternoon, the Canton store, 43435 Ford Rd., was as busy as, if not moreso, a Black Friday sale, with a line of customers stretching from the cash register all the way to the back of the shop.
Friday's discounts ranged from 10 to 40 percent. The highest discount is reserved for greeting cards. Most books are reduced by 10 percent, with 20 and 30 percent reductions for some books and DVDs.
Discounts do not apply to Borders' online store, which remains open. The cafe closed on Thursday.
