The Canton Township has designated June 12-14 as the time for all good people to come together for three days in Heritage Park off of Canton Center Rd between
Cherry Hill and Summit Parkway.
Co-chairs, Lions Bob Boyer and Larry Wegrzyn, have worked for weeks planning and organizing so all will go well. They understand that this is a fund raising event and people are dependent on the Lions to assist them in their time of need. We have planned to have three contests this year. Prizes will be awarded to the person who can eat the most pancake, with kids 5 and under participating in pancake decorating as well as kids 6-8. Judges have selected so come over and join in the fun and cheer for the kids. By the way, don't forget to buy your 50/50 tickets.
What is the Canton Lions Club, well it's a diverse group of men and women who have come together to earn funds to support those who are less fortunate. For an example, the Penrickton Center in Taylor will educate a blind and multiple handicapped child until the child is 12 year old. The children are with their parent on weekend but during the week they live at the Penrickton Center. I think you can see the work must go on. If you feel you can contribute to this worthy endeavor join us as we meet on Monday evening at 7 pm at Rose's Restaurant on the corner of Canton Center Rd and Cherry Hill in Canton.
