Canton Man Fatally Shot Before Dearborn Crash: Police

Crime Stoppers is offering a $2,500 reward for information about shooting that killed Raymond Mshahwar, 33, of Canton.

DEARBORN, MI — Police in Dearborn have asked the public for information about the Sunday night shooting of a motorist just before he crashed into several parked vehicles in the area of Madison and Bennett streets. Raymond Mshahwar, 33, of Canton, was pronounced dead at a local hospital around 10 p.m

Anyone with information is asked to call the Dearborn Police Tip Line at (313) 943-3030 or by contacting Crime Stoppers by phone at (800) SPEAK-UP, online at www.1800speakup.org or by text at CRIMES (274637). Crime Stoppers is offering a $2,500 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons involved in this crime. Anyone providing information can remain anonymous.

“This is a tragic situation and our condolences go out the family of the victim,” Dearborn Police Chief Ronald Haddad said in a statement. “The Dearborn Police Department will use all available resources to apprehend the person(s) involved in this crime. We are urging the public to come forward with information regarding this crime.”
