THREE WHALERS SELECTED FOR USA HOCKEY JUNIOR EVALUATION CAMP: Three members of the Whalers will get their season started a little sooner than some.
Stefan Noesen, JT Miller and Ryan Hartman have been selected to participate in the 2012 USA Hockey National Junior Evaluation Camp in August.

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - USA Hockey today announced the 46 players invited to take part in its National Junior Evaluation Camp this August in Lake Placid, N.Y. The players will be auditioning for a spot on the U.S. National Junior Team that will take part in the 2013 International Ice Hockey Federation World Junior Championship, Dec. 26, 2012-Jan. 5, 2013, in Ufa, Russia.
Among the invitees are three returnees from the 2012 U.S. National Junior Team -- defenseman Jacob Trouba (Rochester, Mich.), forward J.T. Miller (East Palestine, Ohio) and goaltender John Gibson (Pittsburgh, Pa.).
Also attending the camp will be nine members of the U.S. Men's National Under-18 Team that captured gold last April at the 2012 IIHF Men's World U18 Championship in Brno, Czech Republic, including defensemen Connor Carrick (Orland Park, Ill.), Matt Grzelcyk (Charlestown, Mass.), Seth Jones (Plano, Texas), Patrick Sieloff (Ann Arbor, Mich.), Brady Skjei (Lakeville, Minn.) and Trouba; and forwards Thomas DiPauli (Woodbridge, Ill.), Ryan Hartman (West Dundee, Ill.) and Nicolas Kerdiles (Irvine, Calif.).
