CANTON, MI – Motorists in a residential area of Canton appear to be blind to a three-way stop at Hanford and Willow Creek.

Lauren Tank has the video — 12 of them, to be exact — to prove it.

Tank told WDIV-TV that after seeing people “constantly blowing by the stop signs,” her husband shot cell phone video they later turned over to Canton police.

Canton police Sgt. Jim Harrison told the TV station the intersection will be monitored daily for two weeks to gather statistics, and a temporary radar sign is in place.

Tank wants officials to consider permanent traffic control devices.

“At this point, we’ll take anything, blinking lights, speed bumps, anything that will get people to learn their lesson,” Tank told the TV station. “I can’t even let my kids go outside by themselves.”

Harrison said that although residents are upset about the number of motorists who don’t stop at the intersection, there hasn’t been an accident there for five years.
