Off-Duty D.C. Cop Shot Outside of Dearborn Strip Club
The police officer was shot in the back in an attempted hijacking early Monday morning.

Dearborn police are investigating a shooting that injured an off-duty Washington, D.C., police officer Monday morning outside of a strip club, according to a WXYZ.com report.
The shooting happened during a carjacking attempt at the intersection of Michigan Avenue and Oakman Boulevard, near The Pantheion Club, the report stated. The officer, a passenger in the truck being carjacked, was shot in the back, and the driver, the officer’s brother-in-law, also was grazed, the report added.
The police officer was apparently targeted in the carjacking, the report stated.

The officer’s police department in D.C. told the TV station that he is expected to recover.
