Espresso Elevado Marks One-Year Anniversary in Plymouth

Espresso Elevado roasts beans fresh on-site several times per week at 606 S. Main St.

Downtown Plymouth's , located in downtown Plymouth, will celebrate its one-year anniversary March 3.

According to roaster and owner Teresa Pilarz, business has been going well.

“One of the most common questions we’ve gotten since opening is ‘how’s business?’" Pilarz said in a news release. "At first, this seems like a tricky question for a new business working each day in a difficult economy to bring alive the vision that prompted us to get started in the first place. For me, it’s a journey and the best challenge I could imagine, so the answer is easy: ‘Business is great.’  I love what we do, our location in Plymouth, our staff and the people we serve.”

Pilarz, who has a background in business and marketing and has been roasting coffee for several years, said Espresso Elevado's fous on quality with its fresh-roasted beans and specialty house drinks, along with its personal customer service, has helped set it apart from other coffee-based businesses.

"We have a wonderful staff that is truly passionate about coffee and service," Pilarz said. "And our customers have reciprocated with genuine kindness and a willingness to champion our cause.”

Since opening in March 2011, it’s been a steady progression as word of mouth has spread, Pilarz said.

“We’re not aiming to be the biggest or the loudest, just the best at what we do,” she said.

Espresso Elevado will mark its anniversary with various special offers and deals for customers, which will start March 2.

As for what lies ahead, Pilarz said, “We are working on our three-year vision, so we have a clear plan of where we’re headed; every business needs a roadmap."

Part of this plan, she says, includes being an asset to the Plymouth community.

"We love being a part of the Plymouth community, and one of our guiding principles is to continue to build a sustainable business that is rooted here,” Pilarz said.
