Exploration of fantasy art for imaginative students looking to advance their artistic capabilities. Students will learn from professional fantasy book illustrator Kirbi Fagan. Students will learn fine art techniques in 2D and 3D media including drawing, painting, printmaking and sculpting. Students will have the opportunity to use artistic-quality materials to create artwork in the fantasy genre. Emphasis on the development of visual awareness, technique and creativity. Projects include:
Character exploration - Sculpture
Character exploration - Graphite Drawing
Dragon Footprints - Printmaking
Drawing Realistic Dragon Scales - Drawing, colored pencils
Create Resin Coated Dragon Eyes - Mixed media, colored pencils and watercolor.
