iE students, ages 15-18, originate from Germany, Austria, China, Spain and Thailand. Our young exchange students need host families and a safe, caring environment while they attend an American high school for one or two semesters. Traditional and non-traditional families are encouraged to apply as hosts. This includes young couples, retired couples, singles, domestic partners, multi-generational families etc.
Host families provide a private or a shared bedroom (with host sibling of the same gender) as well as three meals a day. Exchange students cover their own personal expenses and medical insurance.
iE is a non-profit student exchange organization that is fully listed with the Council on Standards for International Educational Travel.
