Locals Can Sample Plymouth Eateries' Fare Monday at Showcase
Showcase Taste of Plymouth takes place Monday at the Inn at St. John's.

Those who attend Monday's at can sample food and services from 75 local vendors.
The expo-type event, in its 23rd year, offers plenty of perks for the $10 admission price, according to Teri Fry from the Plymouth Community Chamber of Commerce.
Fry said each vendor at the event — including Patch — will offer door prizes, while each participating restaurant and food-oriented business will offer samples of their edible fare.

Those who give back to the community also will be honored, Fry said as the Chamber recognizes the year's top volunteers from local service clubs. Additionally, $1,000 scholarships for students from Plymouth, Canton, Salem, Starkweather and a local private high school will be announced and awarded at the event, Fry said.
Criteria for the scholarships, Fry said, primarily includes students' community involvement and volunteerism. Of about 30 scholarship applicants, Fry said, five will walk away with scholarships.
