Looking for Adjunct English Instructors- Prepare in Summer, Teach in Fall After School

Come work at a dynamic and diverse learning enrichment center dedicated to the accelerated advancement of students in grades 2-11 through the subjects of English Language Arts, Science, and Math. Swayam Learning has been established since 2005.

At this point, we need English Language instructors, capable and experienced in teaching English for all grade levels. Applicants must be either 1) certified English teachers 2) possess a B.A./M.A. in English/Education, 3) nearly finished with their teaching certification or degree in Education with English as a major, or 4) retired teachers. We need Teachers able and willing to commute to and work part-time in Northville. Flexibility of schedule is necessary, but we will do our best to accommodate your schedule preferences.

Teachers: The position will involve teaching and grading small-sized classes of up to 15 students per class. The curriculum and many materials will be provided to you and you will plan the lessons and evaluations with the Managing Director.

We need candidates to be available for both weekends and weekday evenings. Candidates should have a commitment to the education process, students’ progress, providing formative feedback on assignments on a weekly basis, and responding promptly to parents/student inquiries as well as the Managing Director and staff.

Retired teachers willing to come on board: your experience is of great value. We would like you to be able to teach or TA for us if you wish, help train new teachers/TAs, and assist with developing specialized math and science programs.
