LIVONIA, MI — A suspected Livonia home burglar was arrested on Saturday, according to police.
The arrest comes in the case when the man was seen trying to enter a home in the area of Bristol Court and Newburgh Road on May 13 while wearing a hazmat suit, Fox 2 Detroit reported.
The homeowner’s daughter told the news outlet she was coming home from work and saw a man trying to undo the gate. She also noticed he had a screwdriver in his hand and pressed the emergency button on her cellphone. The man then grabbed the neckline of her shirt and pushed her backward before fleeing the backyard.
