Nutty Scientists Camps in Dexter This Summer!

Nutty Scientists of SE Michigan is excited to bring our Summer Camps to Dexter! Our mission is to awaken the curiosity and imagination of children through unique interactive scientific activities. It is our goal that students not simply learn about science, but that they EXPERIENCE it! Here a lists of camps that will be coming to Dexter:

• Nutty Science Club Camp (Grades K-6) – June 15-19 (9am - 4pm) $185 Wylie School Code: YE-NSCL
  Come to the Science Lab with Nutty Scientists and use a combination of hands-on experiments and projects to spark your child’s curiosity and interest in science. What makes this series special is kids will also be involved in deciding what topics they want to explore. Students may choose from chemistry, DNA, motion, recycling, water conservation, technology, or engineering. The students will not be disappointed. Science with a “nutty” twist.
• Super-Hero-Eco-Agent (Grades: 1-4) - June 29-July3 (9am-4pm) $185 Wylie School Code: YE-NSSH
  Did you know that Education + Fun = NUTTY SCIENTISTS? Get Nutty for Science and join the ranks as a Super-Hero-Eco-Agent: Our Nutty Professor and his assistants will use shows, theater, workshops, games, and art projects to inspire your pint size Eco-Agent to discover the science in the world around us. Not only will we become more aware of the environment around us but will also dive into topics like tide changes, weather, plants, waste reduction, recycling and saving our planet. Experiments will be explosive, messy, and so much fun! Students will be grouped by age/ability. A great hands-on class.
• Scientific Explorers (Grades: 1-4) - July 20-July 24 (9am-4pm) $185 Wylie School Code: YE-NSSE
  Get Nutty for Science and join the ranks as a Scientific Explorer. Our Nutty Professor and his assistants will use lots of fun, hands-on activities to inspire kids to discover the science in the world around us. During this series we learn all about Electricity, Planets, Robots, Rockets, STEM Challenges, and of course some Crazy Chemical Reactions. We will also learn about some famous scientists like Einstein, Arquimedes, Newton, Galileo and more.
• Fairytale STEM Science (Grades: 1-3) - July 27-31 (9am-Noon) $105 Wylie School Code: YE-NSFT
  The NUTTY SCIENTISTS will enter the pages of some very famous fairy tales to overcome some amazing obstacles using science, technology, engineering, and mathematics. We will use art, theater, science, and a lot of inspiration to spark the children’s imaginations. On our journey into various fairytales we may save Humpty Dumpty from falling, design our own bridges to withstand the trolls, find our reflection in the magic mirror, and build towers and so much more.
• Nutty Science STEM Camp (Grades: 5-8) - August 3-7 (9am-3pm) $165 Dexter High School Code: YE-NSST
  Experience the Wonders of STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering & Math) with the Nutty Scientists! Design and build Powerful Rockets and Wacky Towers; Experience Explosive Chemical Reactions; Team up to tackle Exciting Scientific Challenges; and much more! Students will get the opportunity to think and explore like real scientists! Throughout the camp, students will keep a scientific journal recording all of their experiments and observations, design experiments to answer questions and solve scientific challenges. Students won’t just learn about science, they will EXPERIENCE it!
• Wow, I am Starting Kindergarten NUTTY SCIENTISTS Camp - August 10-14 (9am to Noon) $105 Wylie School Code: YE-NSKG
  This camp is specially tailored for our young aspiring scientists who are getting ready to enter kindergarten. In addition to our Nutty Fun we focus on what they need to know about “Natural Sciences” (animals, plants, weather, space, earth) the “Physical Sciences” (magnets, float and sink) and “Health and Safety” (teeth, body parts, nutrition and food groups, five senses, fire safety). A fun hands-on class. Kindergarten and Young Fives Half Day Camp.
• 20,000 leagues of Science (Grades: 1-5) - August 17-21 (9am-4pm) $185 Dexter High School Code: YE-NS20
  NUTTY SCIENTISTS will use many activities and projects to inspire a love of science by bringing the pages of a science fiction book alive. During this series we will use our time machine to travel with Jules Verne on an exciting adventure that may take the children as high as the moon and as deep as the deepest depths of the sea. Without realizing it, the children´s innate curiosity submerges them in the fundamentals of science and excitement from this amazing adventure.
