Orientation at East Middle School

Typically at this time of year, Plymouth-Canton Community Schools fifth grade students would be touring middle school buildings in anticipation of moving up in the fall. Since visiting schools isn’t possible because of the quarantine, the East Middle School counselors did the next best thing. Understanding that transitioning to a new school might feel especially intimidating for many students right now, they decided to take incoming families on a virtual tour of their school.

In addition, the counselors created a Google Doc that included everything they wanted to share in one place. All families can access the information at any time, as often as they would like. The counselors also included a Google Form for parents so they can share student choices for music classes, an in formative slideshow, and links to the counseling website.

The East Middle School counselors want students and their families to know that they are working to create a smooth and seamless transition.
