P-CCS Home Learning Highlight For Thursday

Isbister Elementary Kindergarteners had a virtual Pajama Party Story Session with their teacher, Mrs. Dillon.

Home Learning Highlight for June 4, 2020
Isbister Elementary

Isbister Elementary Kindergarteners had a Pajama Party Story Session with their teacher, Mrs. Dillon. Students snuggled up in their PJs on a WebEx video conference call, brought their favorite stuffed animal to share, and enjoyed a bedtime read aloud of 'The Little Engine That Could!' Kindergarten students made connections with the importance of 'being kind', an essential part of the school's mission, by giving a thumbs up or thumbs down in response to the choices that characters made.
Students also played a game of 'Kahoot', which is a game based learning platform that records student responses. Students cheered each other on as their points increased with correct responses. They practiced videoconferencing routines of muting and unmuting their sound when it was their time to share as they prepare for future connections.
