Home Learning Highlight for May 27, 2020
Farrand Elementary

No matter what grade, Farrand Elementary students are staying engaged learning from home. Starting with its youngest learners who have daily schedules full of fun and exciting lessons. Kindergarten teachers use YouTube to teach math with The Subtraction Song and instill the love of books by reading to their students virtually.

Older students are challenged a bit more, but their teachers still find ways to make the learning fun and memorable. Some are teaching math with movie themes, such as Star Wars, while others dress in costumes to deliver writing lessons with a pizza theme from the kitchen.

These teachers and students may not be in a traditional classroom, but Farrand Foxes are still learning and growing this school year. Like their mascot, these foxes are smart and are looking forward to the day when the pack returns home to its den on Greenbriar Lane.
