• Canton police: Both parents to be arraigned after toddler brings loaded gun to daycare (fox2detroit.com) — Both parents of a toddler who brought a loaded handgun to a Canton daycare are set to be arraigned in Plymouth on Thursday, Oct. 1. Canton police say the weapon was quickly secured at Children's World Early Learning Center, no one was hurt, and an investigation continues as the daycare and officers emphasize that safety protocols worked as intended.
   

• Michigan Town Debates Rocky Horror Scarecrow, Somehow Avoids Bigger Problems (newsbeyonddetroit.net) — Downtown Plymouth's annual Scarecrows in the Park display has drawn extra attention after complaints about a Dr. Frank-N-Furter scarecrow led to calls for covering it up. After feedback from residents and organizers, the Plymouth Canton PFLAG display will stay as-is through November 2, becoming an unexpected flashpoint over expression and inclusivity in the heart of town.
