Photos: Women Enjoy Ladies' Night in Plymouth

Plymouth Community Chamber of Commerce hosts the annual Ladies' Night Out event in downtown Plymouth.

A group of women lined up in front of the Plymouth Community Chamber of Commerce office at 5 p.m. Thursday to receive a rose from a gentleman dressed in a tux.

The roses, 500 in total, were donated by Ribar Floral. The gentleman was Brian Waskiewicz, chamber member and owner of the Plymouth Wellness Center, and he was volunteering that evening for Plymouth's Ladies' Night Out event.

The event's purpose is to treat ladies with gifts and deals on shopping, while boosting sales for downtown businesses.

"It's very successful," said Wes Graff, president of the Plymouth Community Chamber of Commerce. "It generates a lot of revenue for the community, not just tonight but in the long run as people find out what we have and keep coming back."

The event runs yearly giving both shoppers and store owners something to look forward to as summer ends.

"I love Plymouth. I love that they do all of these activities for different things," said Sheri Topolewski of Salem Township. "It's just a nice night to be out."
