Pinnacle Homes Partners with Last Day Dog Rescue to Host Adoption and Donation Event

Pinnacle Homes' South Lyon location to host adoption event on July 16, all locations to accept pet supply donations starting July 9.

Mich.-based Pinnacle Homes, one of the area’s leading builders of quality new homes, has partnered with Last Day Dog Rescue (LDDR) to host a weeklong pet supplies donation drive that will culminate in a dog adoption event on Sunday, July 16 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Pinnacle Homes’ Legacy of Lyon community in South Lyon, which is part of the company’s Aspire Collection communities geared toward empty nesters and active adults. Pinnacle Homes Managing Partner Howard Fingeroot made the announcement.

The adoption event is open to members of the community of all ages and family types interested in giving an adoptable dog or cat its forever home. While adoption fees vary by breed and age of the dog, LDDR focuses on saving those who are most likely not to be saved—including senior animals— and offers individuals who are 65 years and older who wish to adopt a dog that is eight years or older a special “seniors for seniors” discounted adoption fee of only $35.

“At Pinnacle Homes, we’re committed to helping and supporting members of the communities we serve—including our furry friends,” said Fingeroot. “Elderly dogs can provide the same level of companionship as their younger counterparts and typically have a better level of training and obedience—making them the perfect match for adults who are on the go. We know many people complete their home by welcoming a dog or cat into it, and by partnering with Last Day Dog Rescue, we hope to fill some of our houses with people and their new forever friend.”
