Plymouth-Area Divas to Enjoy Special Day Downtown

Chamber of Commerce's Diva Day returns to downtown Plymouth for fourth year.

Plymouth-area women will get to be divas for a day Saturday as Diva Day returns to .

The event, in its fourth year, is sponsored by the Plymouth Area Chamber of Commerce and allows women to shop and get pampered.

"It's just a fun shopping day," said Teri Fry, the Chamber's events manager.

The fun runs from 10 a.m.-6 p.m. Saturday at Kellogg Park, and local businesses are getting in on the action, Fry said.

In all, 27 businesses along Ann Arbor Trail, Forest Avenue, Main Street, Penniman Avenue and Wing Street are participating.

"Most of these shops target women," Fry said, and several will offer specials and free samples for the occasion.

The first 500 attendees will receive a free pair of sunglasses, Fry said.

The event is open to all, including children and dogs looking to get pampered.
