The Plymouth City Commission voted Monday to maintain the status quo on the number of establishments authorized to sell liquor by the drink rather than raise the cap beyond the 14 currently licensed, The Plymouth Observer reports.

In March, a divided commission voted 4-3 to increase the number of licenses by one, but downtown business owners and landlords pressured officials to back away from the increase until more public parking is available.
