Power Returns to Plymouth's Old Village

Power was out for about 4 hours after wind gusts.

Power has returned to Plymouth's Old Village after homes and businesses in the historic business district went dark this afternoon.

Nick Hermann, owner of , said power went out at about 4:15 p.m. At about 8:20 p.m., lights on all the adjacent businesses on Liberty Street businesses came back on. Many businesses remain closed for the evening.

The source of the outage isn't yet known, but Hermann's employees say it likely was caused by high winds throughout the day.

Patrick Kelleher, an Old Village resident, said the outage extended into adjacent neighborhoods. He said his power returned at the same time as the businesses.

Hermann's opened its doors once power returned and evening trivia and other activities will resume as planned.
