Save the Date: Concours d'Elegance Preview Returns to Northville

This year's preview event celebrates the 60th anniversary of the Ford Thunderbird and features a special T-Bird exhibit.

Summertime signals the annual Concours d’Elegance in Michigan.

Once again this year, vintage automobile lovers can preview rare and magnificent collector vehicles when they visit Downtown Northville on from noon-4 p.m. Saturday, July 25, for the 4th Annual Northville Concours d’Elegance Preview Event.

The Downtown Northville Development Authority has once again partnered with the annual event at The Inn at St. John’s to host the annual FREE preview event.

Taking place on the streets of Downtown Northville, the event – sponsored byReliable Carriers, Roush Performance, Cadillac of Novi, Tom Holzer Ford, Varsity Lincoln, Davis Auto Care, Northville Collision and Northville Rehabilitation – includes a rare, vintage car exhibition featuring approximately 30 pre-war vehicles on Main Street between Hutton and Center Streets.

This year’s preview event, in celebration of the Ford Thunderbird’s 60th Anniversary, will also feature a special Thunderbird exhibit. The Thunderbird exhibit will be on Main Street between Wing and Center Streets, and on North Center Street.

Live musical performances by the Boogie Woogie Kid and The Dave Bennett Quartet will take the stage in Town Square. The day’s schedule is as follows:

  • Noon-4 p.m. ~ Rare, Vintage Car & Thunderbird Exhibits
  • Noon - 1:45 p.m. Performance by the Boogie Woogie Kid
  • 2-4 p.m. Performance by The Dave Bennett Quartet

Shuttle Service will also be available to-and-from downtown Northville to St. John’s on Sunday, July 27 from 9 a.m.-5 p.m. The shuttle, sponsored by Northville Square, leaves from the Cady Street entrance to Northville Square.

For those who also want to do a little shopping or grab a bite to eat while in town, there are more than 60 locally-owned shops and 25 restaurants located throughout Downtown Northville.
