School's Out, So Kids Attend Plymouth Whalers' Sticks and Pucks Sessions

Sessions run Monday and Tuesday, Thursday and Friday

School is out this week, but some young hockey players are spending part of their week receiving instruction from the Plymouth Whalers.

The Whalers are offering two Sticks and Pucks sessions this week. The first session started Monday and continues today from 10:30 a.m. to noon, with a second session running Thursday and Friday at the same time.

Spots still are available for the Thursday-Friday session.

Sticks and Pucks differ from clinics in that the sessions are more informal and there is plenty of time for interaction and fun with Plymouth Whalers players.

Feb. 20-21 or Feb. 23-24                                                      
Day 1: 10:30am-12pm

  • Clinic with Joe Stefan

Day 2: 10:30 a.m.-12 p.m.

  • Skate, pass, and play hockey with the Whalers in a sticks and pucks session.
  • Noon: Pizza Party

Also, attendees receive a ticket to the Whalers game of their choice:

  • Feb. 24 vs. Oshawa at 7:05 p.m.
  • Feb. 25 vs. Sudbury at 7:05 p.m.
  • March 2 vs. Brampton at 7:05 p.m.

Price: $70

COMPUWARE ARENA OFFERS OPEN SKATE: With school out this week, many people are taking advantage of Compuware Arena's Open Skate sessions, which run Monday through Friday from 11:10 a.m.-1 p.m. Price is $5 for adults and $4 for children. Skate rental is available for $3.
