TEAM SCHOSTAK FAMILY RESTAURANTS SIGNS LEASE FOR 2,600-SQUARE-FOOT MOD PIZZA RESTAURANT IN CANTON

Company continues its expansion in Michigan bringing 30 jobs to Canton

TEAM Schostak Family Restaurants (TSFR), a Michigan-based family-owned restaurant group with an expansive portfolio of casual, quick service and family dining restaurants throughout the state, announced today that the company has signed the lease for a seventh MOD Pizza restaurant, located in Canton, Mich., as it continues its expansion of the brand across Southeast Michigan. TSFR brand leader of MOD Pizza Jake Schostak made the announcement.

In late 2014, TSFR announced its plans to launch 25 MOD Pizza locations in Michigan during the next five years. An individual artisan-style pizza concept created in Seattle, TSFR opened its first five MOD Pizza locations last year in Livonia, Northville, Rochester Hills, Woodhaven and Brighton, and announced a sixth location at 23 Mile and Gratiot in Chesterfield earlier this year. The 2,600-square-foot Canton restaurant, located on Ford Road between Haggerty and Lilley, is the latest move in TSFR’s aggressive growth plans for the brand and is expected to open in late 2016/early 2017.

“This past year has been an exciting adventure for MOD Pizza in Michigan. With five locations opened since our launch late last year, and two more in the queue with the addition of our Canton restaurant, we look forward to continuing to Spread MODness throughout the metro Detroit region,” said Schostak. “It is important for us to be a leader in corporate citizenship, and, Spreading MODness is the perfect vehicle for us to establish that positive ripple effect. We have a proven track record for creating inspired pizzas, while simultaneously making a measurable difference in each community we serve."

Made on demand, MOD Pizza uses fresh-pressed dough and signature sauces, including MOD red sauce and MOD white sauce. Guests can create their own pizzas and salads, using any combination of 30 fresh-featured toppings, or they can choose from a menu of MOD classics. Each pizza is hand-cooked in an 800-degree oven in five minutes or less, and salads are hand-tossed in front of the customer. MOD Pizza also serves local draft beers, wine, handspun milkshakes and house-made lemonades and iced teas.

Looking to add an additional 30 team members to its “MOD Squad,” TSFR and MOD Pizza are dedicated to offering jobs with the potential of upward mobility to local residents. Prospective candidates, in addition to being friendly, hard-working individuals with a desire to build a positive dining experience for guests, must have flexible availability, including nights and weekends.
