Teen Plows New Car Into Garage: Police
Teen reportedly told police he was speeding, then claimed the brakes failed on the new Chrysler 300.

A Canton teen was charged with reckless driving after he allegedly lost control of the new Chrysler 300 and crashed into a garage, according to police reports.

The crash occurred about 6:45 p.m. Saturday in the 1500 block of Rustic Ridge. Witnesses reported hearing an engine revving and seeing the 2015 Chrysler speeding. The teen reportedly told police he was driving 60 mph, then changed his story and said he was only going 50, and claimed the brakes had failed on the 2015 Chrysler.
Police said the crash scene investigation revealed no evidence the teen applied the brakes.

Also damaged was a 2005 Honda that was parked inside the garage.
