wrapped up the opening day of the 2011 Division 1 boys golf state finals Friday afternoon at Katke-Cousins golf course with a total team score of 316, 19 shots behind opening-round leader, Grand Rapids Forest Hills Central.  Kyle Rodes paced the squad with a 77, while John Tatti (78), Justin Bauer (80), Ryan Rieckhoff (81) and John Heinze (81)  all turned in solid scores on the difficult Katke-Cousins course. The squad tees off Saturday morning at 8 a.m. on the Katke-Cousins course to start the second round of play.
