The SJ5K is a benefit 5k run that started in 2011 after P-CEP student Jesse Lindlbauer experienced a life-altering brain injury. 2020 marks the tenth year of the Super Jess 5k, which became an annual student-led race in the Plymouth-Canton community. Since the first race, the SJ5K has raised over a half-million dollars for numerous Plymouth-Canton families facing hardship.

This year’s race supported five local families, including the Gorski, Rosowski, Syzmansky, Suszkiewicz, and Milleville families. The 2020 race took on a virtual format and over 2,500 participants came together from Sunday, May 3 through Sunday, May 10, 2020 from around the world to virtually Run as One for these families. Through the support of participants, donors, sponsors, and fundraising events, the event raised over $130,000.
