What's the Biggest Crime Problem in Plymouth-Canton Area?
The FBI has released its Crime in the United States report for 2014.

The Plymouth-Canton area reported one murder last year, but 29 rapes between the three communities that make up the area, according to the the FBI’s recently released Crime in the United States report for 2014,
Property crimes were the most frequently reported crimes in the city, including 1,692 larcenies and thefts, according to the report.
Canton Township is the largest of the three communities, with a population of 89,073. Plymouth Township has 26,973 residents, and Plymouth has 8,912.

Wayne County’s figures were not included in the report. The FBI said it did not include figures from agencies whose data was determined to be under-reported.

- Violent crime: 147 (Canton Township, 118; Plymouth Township, 20; Plymouth, 9)
- Murder and non-negligent homicide: 1 (Plymouth Township)
- Rape: 29 (Canton Township, 25; Plymouth Township, 2; Plymouth, 2)
- Robbery: 16 (Canton Township, 13; Plymouth Township, 2; Plymouth, 1)
- Aggravated assault: 101 (Canton Township, 80; Plymouth Township, 15; Plymouth, 6)
- Property crime: 1,692 (Canton Township, 1,327; Plymouth Township, 295; Plymouth, 70)
- Burglary: 239 (Canton Township, 184; Plymouth Township, 45; Plymouth, 10)
- Larceny-theft: 1,357 (Canton Township, 1,069; Plymouth Township, 232; Plymouth, 56)
- Motor vehicle theft: 96 (Canton Township, 74; Plymouth Township, 18; Plymouth 4)
- Arson: 13 (Canton Township, 12; Plymouth Township, 1; Plymouth, 0)
