Workshops offer hope to those grieving
Those grieving the loss of a loved one will have the opportunity to attend eight week workshops in 10 locations around metro Detroit.

In effort to help those grieving the loss of a loved one, New Hope Center for Grief Support will have 10 eight-week workshops starting in September throughout metro Detroit. The workshops are offered at no cost and will be presented by trained facilitators.
Each session will begin with a presentation on one aspect of grief followed by small group participation. Attendees will be placed in groups according to their loss (i.e. spouse, parent, child ect.) and given the opportunity to share their feelings and challenges as well as the necessary tools to cope with difficult emotions.
“New Hope’s workshops have consistently been highly rated as a positive experience,” said Karen Laing, executive director at New Hope. “Participants are able to use what they’ve learned to reach a place of hope, healing and new beginnings.”
