Would-Be Portable Potty Peeper Leaves Selfies Behind
Hidden camera was found in a portable toilet at a southeast Michigan orchard, but police say the only photos captured were of the suspect.

A selfie left behind on planted hidden camera inside a portable toilet at a popular fall destination for families may help authorities track down the would-be bathroom voyeur. The camera hidden in the portable toilet at Wiard’s Orchards in Ypsilanti Township was found almost a year ago, on Oct. 10, 2015 — the same date as the time stamp on the selfies.
The Washtenaw County Sheriff’s Office is now circulating photos that clearly show the suspect’s face in hopes of bringing him to justice, according to a news release.
If caught and convicted, the suspect faces a charge of photographing an unclothed person without their consent, a two-year felony also punishable by a $2,000 fine.

Sgt. Keith Flores of the sheriff’s office told MLive.com that the camera was found in a coffee cup in the toilet, but that the only images taken were the selfies of the suspect. It was only only in the portable john for about a day.
A spokesperson from the orchard told MLive.com that the portable toilet was on the property for a third-party event held on Oct. 10, 2015, and was only on the property for about a day.
