5 Things to do For Free on the OU Campus

You can throw a flying disc, see some art and ask an expert for job advice.

On the campus of , parking is free. So is an afternoon walk on the grounds of .

Free career advice

The Adult Career Counseling Center on campus provides free career guidance services to members of the campus and community. Call 248-370-3092 to learn more.

Free inspiration

Admission to the Oakland University Art Gallery is free. The museum is open noon-5 p.m. daily except Mondays. The next exhibit opens tonight with a free opening reception from 5-8 p.m. It's entitled "Idealizing the Imaginary: Illusion and Invention in Contemporary Painting." The gallery is next to . 

Free tickets for patriotic voices

If you sing the National Anthem at an OU sports event, you'll receive two free tickets to the event. Here is an application.

Free disc golf

There's a 5,541-foot disc golf course near the upper fields on campus, and it's free to use. Dubbed Grizzly Oaks, it is a course officially approved by the Professional Disc Golf Association.

Free performance art

All student and faculty recitals in the department of Music, Theatre and Dance are free. Also free are showcases of final projects from the department's choreography classes (there's one planned for April 12). Check out the calendar of events here.
