Haig's of Rochester Fine Jewelry Named Small Business of the Year

Haig's of Rochester Fine Jewelry & Objects of Art is proud to announce that Paul Haig, owner of Haig's of Rochester, recently received the Gofrank & Mattina, P.C. Small Business of the Year Award by the Rochester Regional Chamber of Commerce during the Sunrise Pinnacle Awards ceremony held at the Royal Park Hotel in downtown Rochester, MI.

Dave LewAllen of WXYZ-TV Channel 7 was the Master of Ceremonies and introduced Haig, saying:

"This award goes to a small company that has demonstrated a capacity for creativity and innovation and has experienced growth by establishing itself as a leader in its industry. Paul Haig of Haig's of Rochester has had a knack for business ever since the age of 10. At age 13, he even got his own business license in the state of Maryland. After selling jewelry pieces at shows in the U.S., graduating from Oakland University, developing his own business plan he opened Haig's of Rochester specializing in fine art and jewelry. Paul and his wife, Diane, vowed to keep the early 1900s appearance of their storefront on Main Street in downtown Rochester. For this they received a historic preservation and architectural award. Their business is premised with the fact that they treat their customers like family, giving the business a hometown feel. Paul and Diane serve the [Rochester] DDA, are members of the Rochester Regional Chamber of Commerce, [Rochester] Rotary, [Rochester Area] Neighborhood House, and Crittenton Hospital. Paul accepts this award in appreciation of the community and the people who helped build Haig's of Rochester, his customers, family and staff and he thanks you very much."
