State Sen. Jim Marleau, R-Lake Orion, will be the guest speaker at the next Rochester PTA Council Legislative meeting. Community members are invited to “Join the Conversation” as Senator Marleau discusses education legislation. The discussion will begin with three questions prepared by the committee, and then the committee will open the floor for questions from those who attend.
The mission of the Rochester PTA Council Legislative committee is to “advocate for our children by communicating education-based legislative issues to PTA members, community members, and legislators that directly impact our students, schools, and community.” All are welcome to attend the monthly meetings. The committee is comprised of representatives from all 20 PTA school units, the RCS district administration, the Rochester Education Association and citizens in the community.
